There is a wide range of useful information in the files section of the Facebook discussion group,  but here are some links to some of the main resources that provide a good starting point for learning about Lyme disease.

 


 

Lyme Aid UK
New charity that aims to provide grants to people on low income who suspect they have Lyme Borreliosis to obtain private overseas testing for the disease.

Lyme Disease Action
UK Charity and Certified Member of the Information Standard, giving information to patients, doctors and researchers. They are a fantastic resource and will gladly give information, studies and leaflets to patients to help them talk about Lyme disease and other tick borne diseases with their doctors. BADA-UK
UK tick borne disease educators who also have a lot of information on Lyme Disease in the UK.

Tick Talk Ireland
Lots of helpful resources on Lyme and associated diseases.

Lyme Research UK 
UK based research organisation.

ILADS
International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society.  Non profit organisation who do research and write publications on the diagnosis and treatment of tick borne diseases.
Authors of widely used guidelines  http://www.ilads.org/lyme/treatment-guideline.php (Not used by the NHS.)

British Infection Association
Their guidelines, based on the American IDSA guidelines, are the ones most widely used in the UK.

Lymedisease.org
US based charity with a lot of information on their site and an active news section.

Under Our Skin
Documentary featuring everything you need to know about Lyme disease, essential viewing.

Eurolyme
Yahoo email group for European Lyme patients and their loved ones.

Worldwide Lyme Protest – UK
Each May countries across the world unite in protest for better diagnostics and treatment of Lyme and associated diseases.  The website also contains patient stories.

Why Can’t I Get Better? Book by Dr Horowitz
Essential reading on the complexity of Lyme and associated diseases. Includes a symptom questionnaire where you can find out what the likelihood is of Lyme and associated diseases being the cause of your illness.

Petition calling for better diagnostic tests and treatment in the UK.
